We live in times where celebrity often over shadows pure artistic expression. The old guard whilst prolific in their own right remained aloof to such unnecessary attention. Lucian Freud, one such figure, sadly passed away yesterday. A painter I greatly admire, he clearly empathised with his subjects, the individual as a stand alone entity and the stories that naturally accompanied them. We have just completed our second branding job with Alex Connock, Director, Ten Alps. This new project PretendTV is a web platform for individuals to post ideas / concepts for TV Formats or Talents. The most innovative of these concepts will be developed by several UK producers based in Los Angeles. Pretend is based at MediaCity UK, Salford, Manchester. The website was developed in association with Stuart at Johnstonnorth. We will keep you posted as the brand rolls out into other applications.

Below the Radar launches The Detail to help put investigative journalism at the core of the news industry in Northern Ireland. It aims not to challenge existing news outlets, broadcast or newspaper, but to supplement them. We worked alongside them and Ten Alps to realise the brand and its online application, the architecture was developed by Johnston North.
